Kira: Daughter of the Moon by Beth Trissel & Giveaway (INT)

BLURB:

Logan McCutcheon returns to colonial Virginia after seven years in the hands of Shawnee Indians. But was he really a captive, as everybody thinks? He looks and fights like a warrior, and seems eager to return to those he calls friends and family. Kira McClure has waited for Logan all those years, passing herself off as odd to keep suitors at bay––and anyone else from getting too close. Now that he’s back, he seems to be the only person capable of protecting her from the advances of Josiah Campbell and accusations of witchcraft. And to defend the settlers against a well-organized band of murderous thieves.

My View:  I love historical fiction/romances. And this book did make for a good one.

Although a bit different, Kira holds her own. She makes me laugh by her innocent and sometimes stupid actions. She enamors with her braveness and strength.

And Logan is my, my, all irresistible. The brainy-brawny man who loves his girl and is quick to protect her is the just the kind of man I love in a historical fiction.

The plot is good and the pace makes for great action. The book made for a quick read.

I’m not sure if this is a series book but I think it will do good as one. I can think of a one before this one and a few after. So Spill it, Ms. Beth Trissel, is something in the making?

3/5 stars – I liked it.

  2. Thanks for the enthusiastic review, and yes, although written to stand on its own, Kira, Daughter of the Moon is the sequel to my award-winning historical romance novel, Through the Fire.
