In the Love Will Find a Way Challenge we’re sharing our all-time favourite books. If you were stuck on an island, or in a cave, which books would you bring?

Lots of them. But I’m only going to share a few favorites. Because the list is endless.

Often seen with a nose buried in a book, you might spy me at a library while 500 unread books adorn my shelf. At other times, I'm busy travelling solo, eating out or looking for my new escapades. You will always find me doing too much all at once.

    2. Yes, they are. I didn’t mean to say they aren’t. I only meant that my choices don’t include books I read years ago. If they did, they’d also include JANE EYRE, WUTHERING HEIGHTS, GONE WITH THE WIND, and LITTLE WOMEN.

      1. Ooh, I know. With so many books to read, I don’t get the time to re-read. But on the off chance, I am deserted on an island, I would like to take the trusted ones than the ones I don’t even know if I would like. I still have to read Gone with the wind.

  7. The name of this challenge is deceiving. It makes it sound like only romance books can be in this challenge. Yuck!

    The books I would choose are books I haven’t read yet that have lots of great reviews or books I haven’t read yet that were written by my favorite authors. So I’d choose:

    A Distant Thunder: Michigan in the Civil War by Bak, Richard (because I live in Michigan)
    The Plague by Camus, Albert
    STAY CLOSE by Coben, Harlan
    Children of Wrath by grossman, paul
    The Unconsoled by Ishiguro, Kazuo
    The Orphan Master’s Son by Johnson, Adam
    Istanbul Passage by Kanon, Joseph (due to be published in May)
    Sweet Tooth by McEwan, Ian (due to be published, I think, in August in England, I don’t know when in U.S.)
    Panic in Level 4: Cannibals, Killer Viruses, and Other Journeys to the Edge of Science by Preston, Richard

      1. I meant to also say that I’ve read five of the books on your list. I thought three were OK, not great. LITTLE WOMEN and ANNE FRANK were when I read them, but I still wouldn’t have chosen them because I read that them when I was 12.

  9. Geez, I hope I would never have to make that sort of decision!! I find it imperative to have thousands of books around me – my own private library. You did better than me – I slacked off on the Challenge posts and skipped the last two altogether. But I read over 30 books this month, so not too bad.
